Anomaly
We should be filing the paper work this week. Once it's through, then the annulment will start. Without going into great detail... she was auto-excommunicated and didn't confess it prior to the marriage. We both are putting the kids first. There have been problems for years and she never wanted to talk, go to counseling, or read anything on the topic. Although divorce is wrong, in this case, I think it's for the best because the marriage was unlawful due to excommunication. The amount of stress I was under for the past ten years has been a heavy burden. I can say I did what I could and remained a good Catholic. Thank you all for your prayers. God Bless & Pax Christi! ironmonk
Max, Didn't see this when I messaged you. The offer still stands to do whatever I can for you, bro. Norseman82
I'm sorry this is happening to you and your family. If the validity is due to something unconfessed, would confessing it restore validity? (I'm offering this as a suggestion as a last-ditch effort to save things, but obviously this is something you would need to discuss with a priest/canon lawyer with whom you could share more details than with strangers on an internet forum).
