We should be filing the paper work this week. Once it's through, then the annulment will start. Without going into great detail... she was auto-excommunicated and didn't confess it prior to the marriage. We both are putting the kids first. There have been problems for years and she never wanted to talk, go to counseling, or read anything on the topic. Although divorce is wrong, in this case, I think it's for the best because the marriage was unlawful due to excommunication. The amount of stress I was under for the past ten years has been a heavy burden. I can say I did what I could and remained a good Catholic. Thank you all for your prayers.

Thanks all... I haven't told anyone in my family yet, going to wait a few weeks and hopefully she'll have a change of heart.

We will always keep you in our prayers. And I will also pray to St. Joseph that he will keep your family together.

Sorry to hear it. I will pray through the intercession of St. Joseph and of St. Rita of Cascia.

May God be with you and your family.

Oh dear. I'm so sorry this happened to you and your family. May Christ who poured out his blood for us on the cross pour his blessing and strength upon you now. I will pray for you.
