Overall, it looks really good. Perhaps it was unjust to assume. It is just I've attended my fair share of these, mostly as a volunteer/chaperone.

Yea, I do understand. I've heard a ton of horror stories about these kind of things, so it's natural to be a bit uneasy about this. That's why I took the time to explain it instead of just going "NUH-UH!" lol.

Also, completely off topic, but I just remembered, we never got to finish discussing t-shirts, tattoos, and the like. I'd really like to understand this better.

I have not forgot that actually. I am still formulating my response.

Tomorrow!

I'm going!

If anyone else is going, give me a holler and we'll figure out a way to meet-up there.

It was amazing. I'm so glad I was able to go.

Popple might be my new favorite band. They were amazingly funny and yet were really able to share a part of themselves and their story. Plus they get props because their first song was titled "First Song" and they managed to relate peanut butter sandwiches to God.

They also split us up by gender for talks on manhood and womanhood. The manhood one was amazing (hit me with some tough questions) and I heard great things about the womanhood one as well.

Then we celebrated Mass. It was really good, the homily was truly inspiring. The funny part is that with the exception of music (keyboard set to piano mode and acoustic guitar instead of our usual choir led by organ) and a couple instances of clapping, it was more legit than my regular parish.

They even fed us dinner of chicken parm, penne a la vodka, and steamed veggies :eat:

Then after dinner, we had adoration led by the Ike Ndolo Band. They played a couple of their really fun and more rock songs, then they slowed it way down to just background music when the priest showed up with the monstrance and the Blessed Sacrament. They alternated periods of almost silent background music with periods of popular contemporary adoration songs. The priest did Benediction and Ike led us in Tantum Ergo and the Divine Praises. After the priest left with the Blessed Sacrament, we returned to more of a concert setting as a close to the night.

During the whole day there were priests hearing confession (except during Mass) and there was adoration (except during Mass and the other adoration time).

It was an absolutely wonderful time. I learned so much and it's given me so much to think about in the days and weeks ahead. I even picked up a booklet on life and vocations

and a CD recording of a talk on chastity

They had all sorts of other materials there, but these two reached out to me in a particular way.

As I said before, it was amazing and I hope to be able to go again next year.
