emmaberry
Hello! My Catholic cousin and his fiance (also Catholic) are not faithful Catholics and plan to get married in a Protestant church with no dispensation. Obviously, my Catholic family cannot attend the wedding, but can we send them a wedding gift, as this might be 'supporting a marriage in disobedience to the Church?' Thanks! CatherineM
By all means send them a present. I handled these situations by attending the reception but not the service. We need to show that we mean them well and hope for a long marriage, hopefully including a marriage blessing some time in the future.
