krissylou
Hooray! I have a question. Does the Rule of St. Albert or your own Constitutions say anything about leaving and re-entering? I know the Rule of St. Benedict says that you can leave and re-enter twice, but if you leave a third time that's for keeps. (That was explained to me as "It can take a while to find your path, that's life, but ultimately you need to pick a path and not keep going back and forth.") I was curious if different Rules dealth with that sort of thing differently. Hooray for Sister Deepa. What an amazing journey she has been on. mantellata
Rule of St. Albert??.... hmm.... I always thought Dominicans followed the Rule of St. Augustine.

krissylou
Now that you mention it, I think the Rule of St. Albert might be what the Carmelites do and Dominicans are Rule of St. Augustine. Benedictines have the Rule of St. Benedict and the Poor Clares have the Rule of St. Clare. Those I can remember easily!

[/quote] Yes, the Rule of St. Albert is what the Carmelites follow along with St. Teresa's Constitutions (for the Discalced orders). Dominicans follow the Rule of St. Augustine. Fun fact: the Sisters of Life and the Sister Servants of the Eternal Word follow the Rule of St. Augustine as well.
