Homemade Crackers

A few people asked about my wife's homemade crackers. Here is the recipe. They are great with some good hoppy beer.

Thanks. I may need to look into starting a sourdough started in August (lots of traveling before then, so I won't have time to be around to take care of it). It's always scared me, but there are so many recipes I want to try with sourdough, I may just have to bite the bullet.

Have you made it, or do you just like eating it? (I love eating it...I've just never made it. And my grandma used to make sourdough bread ALL the time, and I asked her for her recipe, but she doesn't have it anymore! :idontknow: )

I eats it... never made it, though. If you find a recipe that works well for you, let me know and I may try it.

I love sourdough. That is primarily what my wife makes. She made a loaf in "english muffin" style, which was my favorite. She only made it once

I've been trying to find a good English muffin recipe. But once I find that, I may have to try it with sourdough (once I make a starter) because that is my favorite kind of English muffin. But so far, all the recipes I try haven't had the English muffin texture, they are basically just biscuits. :ohno:

I've been wanting to try making crackers. I might have to give this recipe a try. :)

And I have successfully started a soughdough starter. Earlier today, I looked at it and though, "I don't really think that's working..." and then a few hours later I walked past it and it was just about to the top of the bowl! Yay! :winner:
I was going to wait, but the hubby had mentioned that he might want to try to make some sourdough bread, so I figured I could start now and if it dies, it dies, and we'll just start over again, later.

I thought y'all were talking about your kids.

I'd be a little disturbed if Papist was posting a recipe to make kids...
