Last night I was thinking "What can I say on Phatmass that I will personally believe but 99% of others will disagree on?" Then I realized "Oh yeah!" So, here it goes.

Whooooooo!!!!! Scott Walker won! Take that, unions!

Have a nice day. :french:

Joke's on you, I have been working for a very long time and occasionally in conditions Union workers would go on strike for. I do think there needs to be some regulations such as you must have a break and what-not, and in fact, after ninety minutes of working you start to become less productive, so I think there should be at least a five minute break every ninety minutes. However, unions are asking for too much money in a money crisis. My dad works seventy hours a week in one hundred degree heat. He doesn't make fifty thousand dollars a year, he has no pension, he has no retirement plan, and he doesn't even have anything in savings because it's too costly to save any money these days in the food business. This is opposed to the union workers that work for forty hours a week (8 x 5 = 40) with full pensions, retirement plans, and money in the bank. I am an heir of a corporation and I have some weight when I say unions need to take a hike.

I'm glad I don't have to hear the commercials anymore!

I honestly haven't seen one political commercial all year, even when there was the primary in Kansas. I'm simply blessed to be watching TBS, EWTN and Fox Kansas most of the time so I miss all of the annoying ads. I honestly have never seen a political ad and then went "That's my kind of candidate right there!" Political ads to me are simply weird.

Is this the work you did for your family?

The issue isn't so much as whether Unions need to take cuts so much as legislative efforts to destroy the ability of unions to negotiate for their members and counteract corporate power in elections.

I think you have a glorified view of the sorts of benefits that union members get.

:o

That face has nothing to do with your post. I was just a portrait of MIKolbe as he goes on his nightly park strolls.

His jaw dropped in wonderment at the beauty of God's design, so he says.

It's the work I do for my family every week. Throughout the week I am preparing food, and once a week I wake up at five in the morning to serve it all day only to get back at seven in the evening. There is no promise we will get our projected food we need and many times we have lived on a prayer since we in fact lose money if we don't get enough customers.

It is about their tax cuts. They keep demanding more money. At some point you don't get paid fifty thousand dollars just because you teach children. Just because they get the luxury of teaching children and then grading them in an air-conditioned building doesn't mean they deserve more money and more benefits than people that have to work physically with much tougher jobs in worse conditions. I'm not saying their job is easy, but it in no way compares to how tough a physically demanding job is.

I do sometimes exaggerate their benefits, but they do get pensions and very good pay.

I AM THE PRINCE!!!! THE PRINCE I SAY!!!!!

Think again, I was being completely serious. I have never trolled anything (At least intentionally) in my life. I don't really appreciate trolls. They have a great lack of respect in which I do not care for.

All of this being said, I say good day. :french:

If you're wondering, yes, that is how I tend to finish my discussions these days.
