I thoroughly enjoy you, particularly when you are bloodying my nose. And I am being 100% serious. You're the drill sergeant I always needed (With PadrePioofPietrelcina, of course.). :saint:

This might not be the best wording to use in the Fabulous Gay Debate...

Can Catholics do anything but disapprove of any ad that approves of and attempts to normalize homosexuality?
yeah, ignor it.

No...we must fight every battle, at every front, now and always. Or else we're not fulfilling the part of the Great Commission that tells us to let our orneriness represent God's love!

I think it really should be called, "The Fabulous Gay Debate". Seems more appropriate.

I shop at JC Penny
I actually find that they have the best quality pocketed polo shirts that don't fall apart as soon as the ones I have bought at Sears.

Right, because that's what Pride Rallies are about--sexual freakiness.
I have heard stories about some of the disgusting displays at the "pride" parades - at least the one in Chicago.

but I don't see anything suggesting an agenda from JC Penny here. Just good old fashion American capitalism to me.

ummmm....i think it's more about making $$$$$, not normalizing homosexuality.
And that is what it boils down to - "gay" households tend to have more disposable income. Of course, that was due to the fact that they did not have children (except any from a previous straight marriage), but who knows what will happen now that they are able to adopt more.

However, it does have the impact of "normalizing" homosexuality.

Or that they like to shop there. You do too, and that's ok, really. We're a phamily. There's no judging here.

I honestly don't see what the big deal is. The business is trying to reach out to a different group of people, making them feel welcome and liked among their community. After so many people give them grief, it's almost a sort of refuge, an attempt to make the world a kinder place. Isn't that what Jesus would've done?

Nope. Haven't you read those signs that the Westboro people wave at military funerals?

Yeah I have seen some pretty disgusting displays of wanton heterosexual "pride" at different bars and dance halls. Doesn't mean all straight people act like that.

The point I was making was that businesses see them as a high-income demographic group to market their products to.

JC Penny markets to high-income demographics. Since when?
