Kujo, I had not been keeping up on the thread so I did not know anything about this. I am so very sorry for your situation. My heart really goes out for you and Amanda. I wish I had something better to say and something I could do for you, but all I can do is give you my prayers. I can imagine I'm near the bottom of the list of those you would want to talk to about this since I can't really offer much comfort, but know that if you ever need someone to talk to I am at least available.

I'm so sorry kujo. I didn't notice the thread until now, but I will definitely pray for you and yours.

Wow man, that smells of elderberries. While I can't actually join this prayer army of yours with my atheism I can let you know that my thoughts and sympathy are with you and wife. Miscarriages are tough on everyone involved. My mom's first pregnancy ended that way in the delivery room. It stays with you for decades, but the pain actually does end. I'm so sorry.

You're a good kid. I hold your feet to the fire, but I only do it because I think you've got a good heart and a big mouth. In that sense, I sorta identify with you. I'm not too much older than you, but I remember being 15 and being totally "on fire" and what not. Sadly, I haven't been able to keep up that enthusiasm, but I respect those who can and do. And although I don't think I'll find myself pouring my heart out to a teenager any time soon, your prayers and words do mean something, and I'm grateful for them, as I'm grateful for everyone on here...even the atheists and agnostics, perhaps even more so!

I thank you. You've really been there for some of my worst moments, which is good. You were there to give me the good kick to the knee and then the continuous kicks after I was down that I really needed. I've learned a lot from you. I don't like to get mushy or anything, but you're definitely a valued friend.

Hey Kujo, I hope you had a good time with the others -- that is the best thing you can do.

If you do want to connect with me in the PM chat room some time, flag me and we can find a time to do it, OK? I'll try to check back here a few times today..... you have a good weekend, man!

Hey Anne. Unfortunately, due to my Phishy status, I cannot do chats or private messages, but I greatly appreciate the offer. It's been a rough few days, and I can't really say that today is starting off any better. I picked up my Bible for the first time in several years, and began leafing through the Book of Job. That particular section of the Bible has always spoken to me, particularly when I first started studying and trying to live as a good Catholic. The context of my "reversion," or whatever Catholics call it when they start being active in their faith, was fraught with turmoil and tragedy, and the struggles and perseverance of Job during his immense struggles always gave me peace and perspective. Today, I don't think I'll receive much of either, as I have become a person who doesn't really feel any better when I hear of others suffering similarly to me. Nevertheless, old habits die hard, I suppose, and if nothing else, reading the Bible gave me a sense of...nostalgia? I dunno.
