Well, I picked her up today down in West Palm. Her appointment was this afternoon at 1, so I drove down in the morning and we had breakfast and walked on the beach. I had been really nervous while driving down--her folks live about 2.5 hours from where we go to school--regarding how I was supposed to act when I saw her. Ya know, should I kiss her? Hold her hand, etc. To say that I had butterflies as I walked up her parents' driveway would be an understatement.

Then she opened the door...

And she threw her arms around me and bombarded me with kisses, telling me she loved me with a beautiful smile on her face, and how she was so sorry for putting me through this last week and that she never wants to lose me. I thought I was going to melt...

Her appointment went really well. The lady was apparently really sweet, reassuring and spoke to her for more than 2 hours! When I picked her up and got on the road, she was her effervescent self for the first time in I can't remember how long. The drive back, and dinner when we got home was just magnificent.

I am speechless...and so so very in love....

I'll write more soon...

Wow! That's wonderful! I'm glad things are finally looking like they're improving! I hope they continue in that direction! And I'm glad to hear that she liked her counselor person. Good counselors can be hard to find.

You have discovered the real key to surviving a miscarriage. You have to work through it together, supporting each other.

Oh! Yes!!!!!!!

Kujo.... you have made my NIGHT!!!!

I am so happy and glad for both of you!!!! And I am glad she's found a good counselor, too..... certainly have been praying for both things.

It is a privilege to have been a part of this..... still probably some tough times ahead, but I agree with Cathering... going through tough stuff -- and there isn't much that is tougher -- will bring you closer.

Ku-man!

Sorry to come late to the prayer crusade, but I will start praying now, even though it seems that things are back to normal.

I have had a rough past few weeks, but I know they couldn't compare in any way to what you've been through. Just stupid teenager stuff: drama, school stress, as well as spiritual desolation and the like.

But reading through this thread and reading that everything has gotten better has shined a little bit of sunshine into my heart and I feel pretty joyous. Joyous for you and your fiance, as well as joyous for the Pham. It seems like the beauty of this place is truly brought out when someone needs help, and that's also really really beautiful.

Looking back now that I'm a bit cheered up, I think that it's only when we've been through the long dark night that we can truly appreciate the beauty of the morning light.

Know of my constant prayers for you and your fiance from this moment on.

And I hereby nominate that Kujo's Phishy tag be removed. Who is with me?

I don't like the Phishy, either, but I don't want to dis the mods. I respect their judgement if they feel it needs to be in place. But I certainly think Kujo is more salmon than barracuda....

But.... would like to respectfully request there be a way to still communicate with someone in that status.... Not sure what that would be, but perhaps a monitored box or something?
