Traditional Latin Mass Question...

So, I started going to Blessed Sacrament in Memphis recently and I was listening to a visiting priest give a whomp-@$$ homily. It really was great! Anyhow, he made a comment which made me think and I am having a hard time with it.

He said, "If you are committed to being a traditional Catholic and you have no other recourse, you should go to the Novus Ordo out of need. However, if you are committed to being a traditional Catholic and you do have the ability to assist at the Traditional Mass, you should go out of your way to avoid the scandals which have overtaken the Novus Ordo and only assist at the Traditional Mass."

My question is this, am I at fault for not assisting at the Novus Ordo and moving completely to the Traditional Mass? Since I have the Traditional Mass every Sunday, and it is not a hardship for me to assist there, is "abandoning" the Novus Ordo in favor of the Traditional Mass a bad thing? Or am I well within my rights to assist 100% at Blessed Sacrament?

I don't dispute the validity, just the licitness (is that a word?). I find that I am drawn to it more and more, the more I go. I do find problems with the Novus Ordo and I don't want to put myself in a position of spiritual danger.

Thanks, in advance, to whoever answers this for me.

"There is no contradiction between the two editions of the Roman Missal. In the history of the liturgy there is growth and progress, but no rupture. What earlier generations held as sacred remains sacred and great for us, too, and it cannot be all of a sudden entirely forbidden or even considered harmful. It behooves all of us to preserve the riches which have developed in the church's faith and prayer and to give them their proper place. Needless to say, in order to experience full communion, also the priests of the communities adhering to the former usage cannot, as a matter of principle, exclude celebrating according to the new books. The total exclusion of the new rite would not in fact be consistent with the recognition of its value and holiness." I think that if there was the EF Mass Sunday then it's OK to go. However if you are in another place and there is no EF Mass the you are obligated to attend the NO Mass to fulfil your obligation.
