Burn.
We don't take Jaime serious as a Scholar due to the pro-Nazi 'literature' he passed around during the meet-up.
MIKolbe
I wonder if there is anybody here who didn't want to be a priest at 15. I did.
I wanted to be a priest in 4th grade. I told my mom that I wanted to be a priest for a few years, then get married. My mom just kinda looked at me like I was weird. Papist
I used to be completely turned off by the idea of marriage and then God gave me two things - my boyfriend and a slap upside the head.
Like the old saying goes. You want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans. On my 39th birthday, I decided if I have not met my wife by age 40 I will fully discern the priesthood. I always knew I am called to be a father...one way or another. BOOM! I was married 13 months later and now a father.

Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
priest or marriage, either way iz beutiful. I guess if you do become a priest your wife will be the holy mother. And if you get married your wife will be your holy wife if she is as ferverant a christian catholic as yourself or possibly if the lords will iz marriage for you possibly a year or 2 of dating someone whom iz luke warm and you could fire up some coals that are yet to become a blaze. God bless you and your journey bro as long as i'm here and your here you can hit me up whenever. That reminds me of the orchard owner and the fruit tree that didn't bear fruit for the first two years and how he dug around one more year, possibly that has to do with boyfriend girlfriend journey toward marriage. Oh and i guess i gotsta plug tha holy mother too, she iz the immaculate conception guiding us in the right direction to tha sacred heart its not only art with her you can kick tha quijah out of wall mart with patience, faith, love and peace giving hope to the streets one soul at a time and thats the end of this rhyme lol P.S. in australia we would call you ridgy didge or fair dinkum, coz your honest to tha core. I said it once before and imma say it again, honesty gets us half way to heaven and God the rest of the way.(don't ever quote me on that unless you ask 3 different priests to reflect the trinity about there opinion of this saying and that it is at least above 50 percent nothing contrary to faith and morals, and if it is less than possibly some tweeking will fix dat lol) aight bless. LaPetiteSoeur
You have so much time, FP. You really, really, do. Nowhere does it say that you must enter seminary right after high school. Nowhere does it say that you must enter after college/military/live-in volunteer/etc. Nowhere does it say you have to enter at all! You have time to really discern God's will in your life, and I think that is important. Some of the best priests I know are "late" vocations! A Jesuit novice I met went to college and worked in youth ministry before entering. My priestfriend got a degree in Math before he entered. The priest who baptized me entered WAY after college (he is also an AMAZING dancer). My high school biology teacher entered a monastery after time in the military.
The priest at the parish I grew up in was married, and studying to be a permanent deacon when his wife passed away, so the Bishop asked if he would consider becoming a priest, which he did, in his late 50s. In one of his homilies, he was talking about doing the interviews with the kids before they made first communion. One little boy told him, "Father, I want to be just like you!" And Father thought, "Wow, he wants to be a priest. Good." And then the little boy continued on, "I want to get married, and when my wife dies, I want to be a priest!" I may or may not enter Seminary right away. After all, I have to convince the Diocese I'm mentally stable first! But joking aside, this is simply what I think I am supposed to do. If I don't think this at the time I obviously won't. After all, it never hurts to get some world experience before becoming a Priest in case you have parishioners like Kujo, and maybe even some dating experience so no one can throw the "How would you know how tough this is?" card at me. I love how people think for some reason that being a Priest is the easiest job in the world compared to having a relationship.
