That's why when it typically comes to music if there is something redeemable about it I don't complain or at least try and emphasize that shard of truth. r2Dtoo
I'm not going to get specific about anything, but I used to listen to Classic Rock quite a bit. Guns N' Roses, AC/DC and Aerosmith quite excessively, as well as Motley Crue (And if you know anything about the Crue you'd know Crue stands for "Crude") and all the like.
Um...LOL! Ok, well to give Nikki Sixx some credit he went from this... To this...
These days I find myself listening to U2 (A Classic Rock band that is Christian)
Oh no, you did not just insult Classic Rock. What's next you gonna lump Jon Bon Jovi in there too? Flopping kids, man. Edited June 9, 2012 by r2Dtoo

They go under that category. Time Magazine called them the greatest Rock Band of the '80s. Whether it falls under your definition or not does not matter. The same goes for Bon Jovi, which I do like, by the way. I do not have an elitist attitude about music. I do not think one category of it is the best and all others smell of elderberries. I like music from Iron Maiden to Bing Crosby to Barry Manilow. It doesn't hurt to have a little variety.
r2Dtoo
I have no problem with variety in music, but get your categories right. You can start by throwing away that liberal rag excuse of a magazine called Time, and simply use the ears the nature gave you. Jon Bon Jovi killed rock music. U2 sounds nothing like classic rock at all(Madonna was big in the 80s too), The Who is acceptable. Pink Floyd was amesome. I could go on, but it would just be a long list of mostly bands you've never heard of because you think classic rock was born and died in 80s.
