I'm actually half way through the first session. Well, not even halfway. I just constantly feel drained because of it. I don't want to do anything. I just want to lay inside and sleep.

That's not such a bad thing to do you know... get some extra rest? I bet you're working pretty hard during those sessions...

Yeah, I'm trying to buy every time I try to sleep I get all panicky. I usually don't get panicky when it comes to sleep. I think it might be because of the EMDR. I'm not sure. I guess I'll see.

Oh... you are trying buT every time you try to sleep you get panicky. Got it.

Possibly it is the EMDR, but I think it could be just that you have been thru so much over the last few weeks. Sometimes sleeping feels like losing control... and your body has been doing enough of it over the last few weeks to be putting up some resistance. Smart body!

That's where the exercising and relaxing can really help. Once you have a had a few sleeps with less panic, it should go away.

It might help to move your bed to a different part of your room, or try sleeping a bit in a recliner or something. Just so it feels a little different than when you've been getting panicky. Don't know if that will help, but you can try it....

Yoga is completely fine with the Church so long as you don't throw in any Eastern spirituality in it. I recommend Pilates because it's insane and you get a really good figure even if you only use it half an hour a day (And trust me, half an hour is a lot when it comes to Pilates). Tai Chi is where things can get a little more dangerous and you should be careful with it. I have never heard of Reiki so I can't tell you anything about it.

Please please be careful. I did yoga for a bit a year ago however switch the DVD to Praisemoves. personally I felt better with a non pure yoga approach.
Yoga in the pure sense, Catholics cannot do as you must "clearing the mind" and some other really questionable act.
However the postures and stretches are super amazing, but without the "clearing the mind" , the act cannot be considered yoga.
I will concede that its super easy to get lazy and say "yea I do yoga". Make sure to understand its certainly not "pure" form.

Nothing wrong with breath slowly in and out. Nothing wrong with stretching your body to become more more flexable (which I am sure helps with mentle health). Nothing is wrong with calming your body down and therefore relax your mind on God. Certainly nothing wrong with meditation -as long as God is your focus and not your own power self.
Hope this helps some.
