loveletslive
are there just 3 sisters?
Lisa
At this point, I believe so. They may have a postulant or aspirant that haven't been on the website, but as far as I can tell, they just have the three novices. They're under the direction of a CFR priest, Fr. Bob. LaPetiteSoeur
Definitely contact them if you are interested in them or want to help them in their mission. The sisters are super nice and Fr. Bob is really razzle dazzle.
Strictlyinkblot
They look very happy in the photographs. Mind you, I rarely see a photo of an unhappy nun/religious sister.
Chiquitunga
The two founding Sisters, Sr. Alicia & Sr. Kate made their First Professions in October - http://www.franciscansoftheeucharist.com/blog/ Congratulations to them! :nunpray: Also there was an article on them in the last issue of Vision, http://www.digitalvocationguide.org/vision/2013#pg80 (it's 3 pgs long, so don't miss the additional pictures :like:) Edited December 29, 2012 by Chiquitunga
notmadeforcomfort
Actually, the founder of the community is Father Bob Lombardo, not the sisters. Father was invited by Cardinal George to start an outreach to the poor and maintain a Catholic presence in one of Chicago's poorest neighborhoods. Over time, many young people were attracted to serving at the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels. Fr. Bob began to work with these young people and in 2010 the Franciscans of the Eucharist of Chicago were erected as a religious community in the Catholic Church. They've had new members join; check out their web site for more details and pictures. www.franciscansoftheeucharitofchicago.com
