Same. In one of the pieces my chorus is doing I have to hit a high a sharp! But I love being an alto. :)

Yay altos! Sopranos brag about hitting the high notes, but our lower notes are really difficult to sing well, too. But we manage :)

My old choir calls this section The Altoids. :P

I sang alto for seven years. Three months ago my voice teacher announced that I was a mezzo "and should only sing soprano from now on, darlink."

I am experiencing mild consternation.

Then again, now I don't have to sing a low D for ten minutes while our deaf organist pounds out the hymns.
