Rowan d'Alexandre
My old choir calls this section The Altoids. I sang alto for seven years. Three months ago my voice teacher announced that I was a mezzo "and should only sing soprano from now on, darlink." I am experiencing mild consternation. Then again, now I don't have to sing a low D for ten minutes while our deaf organist pounds out the hymns.
