Cd Project ... And A Ministry Proposal

Hi pham (again -- sorry for the 2nd petition but I forgot):

Part 1 -- CD project

I am working on an album. I recorded one song about a year ago, and stopped (just couldn't continue for whatever reason). When I did my retreat that turned everything upside down and right side out, the Lord actually said "go record song xyz and abc."

Well, I went to the person who has been helping me and not only did we record xyz, but one other song. And there's a 3rd that I am now writing the lyrics for (I need the 3rd verse). There's two more songs in line to be recorded. And he is completely excited about it ... much more than before.

I don't know if abc will be recorded ... it is very poignant.

Well the prayer request is for the project. I hesitate a lot. I easily devalue the gift of songwriting and music that the Lord gave me, and my head thinks that no one will like it. Today on a one day retreat the Lord really, really made me realize how much I devalue the gifts and talents that He has given me. So pray that not only I don't get in the way of getting the project done (a dream of mine for years), but that He comes through.

Part 2 -- ministry proposal

I just had a conversation about leading a group at the parish. I have said no in the past, but I also know that there are a lot of issues that need to be resolved. The person who asked has spoken with my parish priest about it -- and I have spoken to the priest about my concerns with the group.

I need a serious dose of discernment. I don't know what I should do. All I know is that I find it interesting that this popped up just after the Lord made me realize that I don't value my gifts -- one of which is leadership.
