Chiquitunga
http://carmeloftheholyface.com/documents/2014/10/TL-carmel2-1.pdf this gate came from Kensington (as well as the grilles, altar, tabernacle, and many other things like books, statues, stools, etc.) http://www.iphoneart.com/users/3121/images/94696?tab=recent&search=search-iphoneart-galleries&my_gallery_search=search-your-own-gallery&from=groups&group_id=356&gp=2&size=detail&ai=5 many things were donated from Kensington for this foundation before the decision was made to purchase the Kensington monastery for the Canyon Carmelites. I'm sure God's providence will provide for replacements for the new Sisters in Kensington though. I bet the ND nuns felt a little bad, but it probably would have been impractical to send everything back.

Chiquitunga
Thanks Sr. MC and PJ for that info. It's interesting how they've come to discern that they should be Trappists! we were talking about this last year in this thread... does anyone know if the Byzantine Discalced Carmelite Nuns in PA are still intent on becoming Trappistine Nuns instead? In this article from a couple weeks ago, they are still OCD, http://www.timesleader.com/news/features/50492033/Gods-creatures-great-yet-small Edited November 8, 2014 by Chiquitunga
Chiquitunga
Happy Feast day! Happy feast day of Blessed Elizabeth of The Trinity! "I have found heaven on earth, since heaven is God, and God is in my soul. My mission in heaven will be to draw souls, helping them to go out of themselves to cling to God, with a spontaneous, love-filled action, and to keep them in that great interior silence which enables God to make his mark on them, to transform them into himself." "I can't find words to express my happiness. Here there is no longer anything but God. He is All; He suffices and we live by Him alone."
truthfinder
we were talking about this last year in this thread... does anyone know if the Byzantine Discalced Carmelite Nuns in PA are still intent on becoming Trappistine Nuns instead? In this article from a couple weeks ago, they are still OCD, http://www.timesleader.com/news/features/50492033/Gods-creatures-great-yet-small From the last newsletter I had seen from them, and this would be a couple months now, they stated that any plans to switch wouldn't work at this time and they were letting if drop. If they are still interested, I don't know, but it's not something they are going ahead with right now.
Chiquitunga
http://catholicdioceseofwichita.org/feature-articles/22156-local-nuns-get-help-from-a-lot-of-their-carmelite-friends They aren't known very well, but they're friends with Valparaiso, and under the old Constitutions. Most of the nuns are from Mexico, two from the US, one from Argentina. They're bilingual.
