I simply believe and rightfully so, that the 'current' debate didn't begin in 1994, but rather the 60's, and those that advocated gay 'marriage' 18 to 30 years ago have a profound effect on the current debate. Our secular culture projects it's perverted bias into understanding these non sexual ritual unions. I mean are there really people calling themselves historians who want to suggest the Medieval Ages condoned homosexuality?
