Archaeology cat
what age group is in high school for this poll and what age group is college? Australia highschool is year 7 to 10 which is about 12-16 years old, and college is year 11 and 12 which is 16+
Yeah, different terms in the US. The US says "college" or university. I have a BA in Archaeology and MA in Egyptology. I started the PhD, but decided it wasn't for me. Edited May 12, 2012 by Archaeology cat

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam
That sounds like fun! I kinda wish I had done more with philosophy with my MA. Where are you?
I'm currently at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology. It is the House of Studies for the Western Dominican Province. They have a great program that allows me to work on a Masters in Philosophy at the same time as a Masters in Theology, which really helps to cut down on the time I would need to spend in graduate school. It is in Berkeley, California, which actually provides several opportunity. I can take Theology and Philosophy from the Dominicans as well as take Analytic Philosophy graduate classes at UC Berkeley (a top 10 school of philosophy) under John Searle. Their library is amazing too; if I can't find a book at our library, UCB will have it. They have one of the best collections of Canon law outside of Rome in the world too. Who knew? brianthephysicist
I have a BS in physics and a BA in math. I'm in a PhD program for physics where I'll be picking up a MA along the way. Still working on coursework and still yet to pass comps but I'm getting there, slowly but surely.
Brother Adam
I am surprised we have so many here with doctoral level degrees. I feel like it is an amazing accomplishment just getting an BA, not even to mention an MA. Everyone should be proud of their work, whether they went through high school or beyond. homeschoolmom
There are days when I think I have more education than I "need" for what I'm doing. Those are usally not great days for me. Then there are days when I think I don't have nearly enough education for what I'm doing. Those are usually days when my kids ask tough questions... I have a BS in education.
