I'm bumping this thread to add this song from Casting Crowns, 'Follow Me'. It's been a great comfort to me lately.

Who is this man who calms the seas?

And who is this man who loves the least of these?

I am the Promised One;

God gave His only Son...

At the end of yourself, just follow Me,

If you lose everything, just follow Me...

It's been a long time since I posted on this thread, but I've been listening to Christian songs on Pandora Radio and came across this song which describes religious life so beautifully and it got me thinking about devoting yourself totally to Christ.  :)

Catherine Therese

"Faithful", by Brooke Fraser

The very first time I heard this song was life in concert... I was on the centre aisle about 2 seats back from the front, so I could see and hear clearly, and I have to admit, the song held me spellbound. Here's a version of her performing it in Seattle... but wow, I wish you got to see/hear it as I saw/heard it those year back.

The Rorate Caeli always grabs my heart.

Here is the translation:

Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the Just One.

Be not angry, O Lord, and remember no longer our iniquity : behold the city of thy sanctuary is become a desert, Sion is made a desert. Jerusalem is desolate, the house of our holiness and of thy glory, where our fathers praised thee.

Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the Just One.

We have sinned, and we are become as one unclean, and we have all fallen as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast crushed us by the hand of our iniquity.

Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the Just One.

See, O Lord, the affliction of thy people, and send him whom thou hast promised to send. Send forth the Lamb, the ruler of the earth, from the rock of the desert to the mount of the daughter of Sion, that he himself may take off the yoke of our captivity.

Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the Just One.

Be comforted, be comforted, my people; thy salvation shall speedily come. Why wilt thou waste away in sadness? why hath sorrow seized thee? I will save thee; fear not: for I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Redeemer.

Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the Just One.

I'm saying yes to You
And no to my desires
I'll leave myself behind
And follow You

I'll walk the narrow road
'cause it leads me to You
I'll fall but grace
Will pick me up again

I've counted up the cost
Oh I've counted up the cost
Yes I've counted up the cost
And You are worth it

I don't know if someone's already posted something like this but I'm curious so I'll post it anyway :). What song describes your relationship with the Lord? The one song that just makes my heart melt is the hymn "Here I Am." So gorgeous!
