Thanks, Cappie! Much appreciated :) I'm just wondering - is it necessary for this to be performed by a Capuchin?

No, but if you go to Notre Dame University in Sydney ask Fr Lam. He lives in the same friary as I do at Leichhardt.

Haha, I'm actually a student there! :) :) I'll definitely ask him when I next see him round!

My 3 St. Joseph Scapulars arrived in the mail this morning!! :) They came in a massive brown envelope all the way from the US. For first Scapulars they should do quite nicely - next time I think I'll get ones a bit more well-made. The pamphlet says they've already been blessed, so I will try and get a priest to invest me soon :)
Still waiting on the 25 Brown Scapulars to arrive! :)

Hi everyone!

So I got my Brown Scapulars about a week ago, and this morning I was finally invested in the Brown Scapular and the St. Joseph Scapular by my University's chaplain (the priest Fr. Cappie mentioned :) ) I wore both of them all day, and it was great :) It kind of makes the Scapular medal I was wearing rather redundant, though I think I may keep wearing it as it has a really nice image of the Sacred Heart.

I do have a photo :) but am not sure how to upload it here. Very technologically challenged.

Thanks all for your wonderful help :) St Joseph the Protector and Our Lady of Mt Carmel, pray for us!

Amen!

Glad you were able to be invested; I know that means a lot to you.

You may be able to 'cut' and 'paste the photo from your computer if you can get it in there. If you have it on an email, 'send' it to yourself and then 'save' the photo on your computer.

If you should want to use it as an avatar (picture like my llama...) then click on your current photo, and follow the promptings to add the photo from your photos.

If it doesn't work, maybe someone else can explain it better. (I was teasing about the photos, tho... some people don't like to put their photos on line, and I understand if you don't want to!)

Praying for your upcoming surgery -- let us know when so we can pray that day. Hope nothing too serious... and that you'll be over & done with this soon.

Thanks, AnneLine :) It feels different to be wearing them. Maybe that sounds dumb, I don't know. But I feel this sense of fulfilment that I can't really explain.

And thank you so much for the prayers about the surgery. I really appreciate it. My operation will happen on June 4. It's not very serious, but I will need to spend the week resting. I'll let you know how things go.:)
