Archaeology cat
Gimps have an easier time in anthropology than in archeology.
I'm a gimp, too. I can't do field archaeology anymore, but I can still research. Remember, 90% of archaeology occurs in the library. Archaeology is the search for fact, not truth. CatherineM
At the U of A, Archeology is under Anthropology. I remember well hearing Dr. John Ostrom talk about how hard it was on him when he realized he couldn't do field work anymore. He had to do his field work in the museum, and discovered one of my favorite fossils. I have to take intro to anthropology, and to archeology, and to cultural anthro, linguistic anthro, and biological anthro, right off the bat, so I'm sure I'm going to find something that will excite me. It better, because one major change to undergrad in the last 30 years is that they have added a foreign language requirement. I may not be medically capable of imprinting a new language now. I guess we'll find out if I get that far. I might get bored and take up welding or something. I will have to go to school the rest of my life just to keep my mind active. With the brain injury, I will be at an increased risk of dementia.

It has been in the universities I've looked at, as far as I can remember (it was in the two I attended, definitely).

I'm just cranky that it means I have to try to learn a foreign language. Maybe I should try Latin this time.
