Feankie
I tried to post earlier, but it's lost in cyberspace! My bookclub has a book exchange each Christmas and one of the women brought Mother Dolores Hart's autobiography. Nobody wanted it except moi! It's a great read and truly opened my eyes up to how different the formation and life in the community is now. Deaneries, respect for one's talents/accomplishments before entering, emphasis of self-sufficiency and farming, etc, Wow, what a change. But I think the essentials are still in place, just lived out differently. What a group of talented religious women live at Regina Laudis!!! Makarioi
Mother has autoimmune neuropathy. If you go to neuropathy.org and search for her interview, you'll learn a bit of what's she's been going through since the 90's. She jokes though that she didn't have this condition when she kissed Elvis....... As it developed long after that!!
