Looking At Profiles, And Other Questions

I'm new here (as of today!), and I have a bunch of questions. Such as: why is it that I can look at member profiles when I'm not logged in, but when I try to look at them after I've logged in, I get an error message? How do I get to my own profile? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I'll probably come up with more questions later, too...

:welcome: Welcome to PHATmass, Ave Maria!

I'm not sure about this (some of the others have been 'round longer than me) but I think some of those things kick in after you have posted a few messages on the Board. Many people choose to post a 'Hi I am new around her, this is a little about me' post - and then people welcome you. After a few posts, some of the features kick in.

Glad to have you join us!

Anne is correct. Keep posting, and the wonderful world of phatmass will open itself up to you. Oh, and welcome!

You should have more features open up after you have 10 posts. (I am pretty sure that's still the way we do things here...) This is just to ensure we don't have spammers/robots wandering around and messing with stuff.

We're also undergoing a bit of maintenance/repair right now, so if something doesn't work, just give it some time. :)

Blessings and welcome aboard!

Thanks, everyone, for your help and your welcomes. I'm slowly starting to figure out how various features and such work around here... :smile3:

Where would be the best place to do a post like that?

And welcome. I hope you like it here. But beware, it can get addicting.

Papist is right... this can be addicting!!!

Most people do a welcom thread in Open Mic. It... doesn't have to be anything formal; in a sense you have already done that with this thread, but you might get more responses if you specifically call your thread 'I'm new to PhatMass' or something...

If you tell us a little labout yourself and about why you came to PHATmass you'll find people who can help you connect with the parts of PHATmass you'll enjoy most. Obviously, don't give any info out you don't want out on the internet. :)

Some people want to talk music, others do serious debates or theology, some want info about vocations... all over the Phatmass Phamily you'll find a willd bunch of people that are a lot to of fun to hang out with. (most of us are civilized and many of us are house trained...). ;)

Open Mic is generic stuff; debate table -- well check a few of those threads and yo'll figure that one out.... Vocation Station, same comment.... just read a few threads, and when you are ready, just join in.

Immature Fan Club is our equivalent of the rec room -- just about anything can go on in there...!

Welcome!
