How Often Did You Date Before You Started Discerning?

When I was seriously discerning before I didn't date. I only dated after I thought (very seriously) that I wasn't called to religious life. Since I've heard the call again I haven't dated. I think its natural at some stage to feel torn between religious life and marriage. I don't think a lot of people do it with the intention of testing their vocation but rather because they care for someone.
