Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
and as catholics one must hold the holy word in higher esteem than a political constitution(not saying we don't need governments.) The bible can neither be added to or taken away from but what of constituions ? what do you all think,do you hold your constituion in higher esteem than the holy bible.? Surely our constitutions over time can be bettered for the glory of God. ?
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
And by the way how many fathers of the U.S. constituion where catholic christians ? Not attacking the protostant non-denominations whom are now actually fighting against in some ways against the denomination protos, seems God is applying eye for eye tooth for tooth on the reformation. Ask yourself this question, "is my enemies enemy my friend? Many protostants i guess are somewhat shaken by the sexual revolution now the fruits have gotten rotten and not just bad. Work with them on that which you agree on, there may be your key to saving your beloved constitution from absolute over haul(for better or for worse), to just a tinkering here and there. I know not much of your constituion nore my own nations, but if it is truely good and gods will,it is worth fighting for, even dying for possibly. But also possibly the Lords will for the u.s. constituion was only partially revealed for man reveals the will of God imperfectly and now he is going to iron out the creases, which some will hate and some will love. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
my personal constitution is a work in progress, possibly so should be all democratic national constituions. I don't know, and your aloud to hit me hard on all i have stated, because indeed it is only the opinion of an outsider(that does not desire to be anyones enemy without sugar coating everything) whom possibly doesn't know one iota of sense in such matters but is open to learn Edited April 27, 2012 by Tab'le Du'Bah-Rye
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
i reccomend listening to the song full court mess by PRo on the album dying to live, pretty much i,you and we are a full court mess if the Lord doesn't use us, commonwealth, democratic, socialist, communist, capitalist etc I heard where the holy roman catholic church is persecuted by governments there whole system collapses eventually and gives birth to something new and better. The end is only a new beggining, hopefully. Stay in Faith with Love. even though the darkness at times seems to make us think there is only a thread of the wonderful plait twine of faith hope and love. You guys can do this, don't despair holy catholic church U.S.A needs you.
Tony
My overall point? It doesn't matter which party is dominant in the Senate. Unless the people of the United States are willing to speak up for their rights again like they did before, it will pass and then it will be up to "I won't sign NDAA, really, I'll veto it" Obama to stop it.
There were enough votes to override a veto for NDAA. Obama could still block this (and if what Jlol's saying is true that the Dems own the senate, I don't see it passing anyway judging by those numbers. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
though i say that half heartly because surely we need to be blowing smoke up the governments kilts occasionaly or they will lift up there kilts, flash us and expect us to bow down. But i don't get it, you say you wan't the paedophiles caught yet won't let the government watch the net to catch these kiddie porn peddlers, you can't have it both ways. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
and plus it only falls under the category of reasonable suspicion, not everyone will be watched all the time, just like you c.i.a and f.b.i can tap peoples phones or place a mic in somones house under the category of reasonable suspician, or is this non existant and just a paranoid delusion of the streets ? PhuturePriest
My conclusion was a thinly veiled pointing out that FP seemed to think that the Democrats would swiftly pass CISPA in the Senate because they hold the majority there. I was pointing out that it has bipartisan support, with most of the people who voted for it in the House being Republicans, opposite the party he claimed would railroad it through.
I'm actually not even sure what CISPA is or why it is such a huge deal. I just read the fourth amendment no longer applies and thought Obama was up to his usually scheme of things. Vincent Vega
Hm. Well let's see. Eisenhower didn't limit government. Nixon didn't limit government. Ford didn't Limit government. Reagan didn't limit government. Bush Senior didn't limit government. Bush Jr. didn't limit government. Can anybody here spot a pattern? Any pattern at all?
And St. Lincoln sure as hell didn't limit government, either. He was the hipster of the lot, doing it before it was razzle dazzle.
