HopefulBride
I don't disagree with him.
ACS67
I agree with him on everything except one point: The "boy/man" haircut bit. I have a boy/man hair cut! I have very short hair! (and so do many Poor Clare cloistered nuns...underneath their veil that is.... )
LaPetiteSoeur
"The real ones", and "Heretical old women" Wow, way to generalize and be disrespectful. This is what I dislike about this man. Personally, I never feel like I'm talking to "accountants" or "lawyers" when I talk to non-habited sisters. Also, using sarcasm to describe a VOWED RELIGIOUS. A sister is called "Sister" because of her vows. Now, if we can all let this thread die, I'd be grateful, as the OP that I posted was supposed to let people know and to pray for sisters who are losing their home due to it being too expensive to keep and unwieldy for older sisters to live in. This WAS NOT supposed to be a great argument about religious life and religious sisters.
ACS67
As cmotherofpirl stated, Voris is not talking about ALL religious. He is talking about specific "dissident" religious women (and for that matter something should be said about the dissident men religious because there are plenty of them running around as well) . To deny that there are women (and men) reglious who have done great damage to the Catholic Faith is absurd and equally "dangerous."

AnneLine
Definitely left a poor taste in my mouth, too. And in my heart. If I were one of the Sisters that taught him, I'd be in the chapel, crying. But yes, time to let this thread die, I agree...
