Papist
Hamilton had 4 home runs last night in one game. That's better than hitting for the cycle in my book. Has anyone noticed how awful a season Jose Batista from Toronto has had for a guy that has led the majors in HRs the last two seasons has only 2 home runs and is batting under the mendoza line (Under .200 for those of you that don't know what the Mendoza line is).
Ah. The dubious legacy of Minnie Mendoza.
Papist
Who says you need a DH to score more runs. Here are the top scoring teams through about 30 games (18.5% of the season) Rangers – 170 Cardinals – 167 Braves – 166 Red Sox – 159 Rockies – 149 Three of the top 5 scoring teams are in the NL with no DH, but run differential is a better barometer of how good your team is. It looks like this: Cardinals – 70 Rangers – 65 Braves – 25 Dodgers – 19 Blue Jays – 16 Orioles – 16 Just look at how number the Cardinals and the Rangers are so far out in front in run differential. That is scary.
