homeschoolmom
Papist, you have me stumped on this one. Are they Little Golden Books? I have a little shelf of books that looks just like that! I loved playing Oregon Trail.... We just got rid of a boatload of these... :(
AnneLine
If you have 'Story of Paul Revere' among those Little Golden Books, give me first dibs at buying it.....

AnneLine
Yeah. I'm actually thinking about hunting for that one. It is the first book I remember reading all the way through at night while my family slept. Has a lot of meaning to me..... funny how some things do that!. BTW... special prayers for you and your mom. Been there... know how tough this one is.... :console:

AnneLine
yup. Been there. It is a hard kind of loss on a lot of different fronts. PM me if you want, you're welcome....
homeschoolmom
yup. Been there. It is a hard kind of loss on a lot of different fronts. PM me if you want, you're welcome.... As I drove up there, I realized that I'm driving past my grade school, and the McDonalds where I worked in HS and the mall where I used to hang out, for almost the last time. Not only losing my house, I'm losing my hometown, too. It's just sad.

homeschoolmom
My mom just got rid of her electric frypan. The conversation went something like this: Me: Let's toss this. Mom: Well.... Me: Do you *ever* use it? Mom: Well, no... but it's still good. Me: But where's the cord? Mom: Okay, toss it. Weeks of this is getting draining... You'll notice he's wearing the correct patch. ;)
Papist
Believe it or not kids. TV was not always 24/7.
homeschoolmom
My brother was a member of the Beer Can Collectors of America. His bedroom wall looked like this for a long time... Believe it or not kids. TV was not always 24/7. LOL!! I remember the first time I stayed up late enough to watch the National Anthem and then saw it sign off. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep... And if you got up too early on Saturday morning, that was all you could watch... no infomercials.
