I was going to suggest a replica of St. Joan of Arc's sword, but no one knows what it looks like so there are no decent replications of it so maybe an travel icon or triptych. Something like this

Paying to send her on retreat could be a nice idea. Ask her to choose the retreat. She could go with you, or go alone.

Who is her confirmation saint?

The Youcat! My soon-to-be seminarian friend sent me the Youcat along with another book last week! I absolutely love it!

A icon of her confirmation saint perhaps? Monastery icons has ton of them and they are beautiful way to center oneself in prayer.

From what I understand Monastery Icons should be avoided, A Word About Monastery Icons

First you ruin cheetoes, and now this? Thanks a lot, Max! :P (But seriously, thanks. I had actually been considering buying stuff from there, not related to this. I won't now.)

Sorry! I had no idea. There are other communities that write icons. Maybe Marigold has a suggestion...

Most people don't know, it's probably common knowledge among the Eastern folks about MI's issues. I think I came across that info from a thread on another forum.

I'm sure the Easterners on here have some good sources.

Soooo, I just remembered that we got an icon from a Catholic bookstore that was from them, and that's where I first heard of them...um, what do I do about that?

I don't know, but if you can always as Marigold where she finds real orthodox icons. And you can always pray away the badness in the icon, I guess.

All Very good suggestions. Yes, thank you for the information. Usually, I dis-like icons. Perhaps, for this reason?
