BigJon16
So a question popped in my head today about confession. Seems to be alot of confession questions lately... So here it is: If a "confession" is heard by a priest, but absolution doesn't take place at the end--as in the penitent didn't go to receive it, and wasn't really sorry for their sins--is the priest still bound not to repeat anything that was said? Jaime
The priest is bound by his vows and vocation, not by the actions of those who come to confession. He cannot reveal what is said in confession even if a person isn't contrite.
