PhuturePriest
During Confession, I often remember more sins after I say "And these are my sins" and Father starts giving me advice and a penance. Should I tell him them before I say the Act of Contrition? This also happens often when I am saying the Act of Contrition, and I am wondering whether or not I should mention it after he has absolved me, or if I should simply wait for next time? Please answer before Saturday morning if you can. I am going to Confession tomorrow at eleven. I will understand if you are too busy, though. cappie
You can always tell the priest you have a little more to add. But if you have already started the act of contrition then I would leave it to be mentioned next time. Because the usual formula said to conclude a confession is: For these sins and all the sins which I cannot now remember I ask pardon, penance and absolution from you Father....or words to that effect
