So, My school doesn't get an Easter Break! We have to wait two more weeks for a break! I don't like it one bit! What has become of America?!?!?!? There is no respect for religion in our society anymore! :mad5:

Wait until you get a job in the real world! You'll be happy to get one day off for Christmas (I know I am!)

I got annoyed that even at a Catholic school we didn't get Holy Thursday off. In highschool it was a joking annoyance. In college I was seriously annoyed, because I had to travel 6 hours home, so I couldn't make it to Holy Thursday Mass.

I'm actually planning on going into religious life after college so I will never get a very long break but doesn't it make sense to have the break around Easter out of respect for the season at least for school? I think so.

Our public schools had spring break about two weeks ago, but they have Friday off. (We are taking the whole week off...)

The Catholic schools in Australia have Good Friday (which is also a Government holiday) and Easter Monday and Tuesday.

I have to work Good Friday (which is also my birthday), Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. I also had to work on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Nursing is no respecter of holidays. Or days off, for that matter.

I have worked Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday for the last 29 years

And we all are very thankful.

And at the jog in the real world, they refer to Good Friday as Spring Holiday.
