Adeodatus
He just does! It's not because we deserve it. He loves everything He makes, because everything He makes is good. And everything He makes is good because He is good. And He is good because He is true. And He is true, I suppose, because He is love. But still, the answer is: He just does. There's no reason we can see. It's just pure, unconditional love. (Of course He loves Satan and everyone in hell unconditionally too. He loves them so much He repects the free will He gave them.) Pontifex
The Love of God for creation resides in the Incarnation. All flesh, all life, all of creation is Holy, Sacred and loved because of Jesus' Obedience to the Father. Although the Incarnation can be pointed to in the historical sense, it is ultimately an event that transcends time. Therefore we are caught up in the Love between Father and Son. We owe Jesus everything. And He just Loves us. Peace
