Livin_the_MASS
Luke. 6:22-26 Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude and insult you, and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man. Rejoice and leap for joy on that day! Behold, your reward will be great in heaven. For their ancestors treated the prophets in the same way. But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. But woe to you who are filled now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will grieve and weep. Woe to you when all speak well of you, for their ancestors treated the false prophets in this way.
Well I guess if people don't always like you thats a good thing because we are sticking by our Catholic Faith Jesus Christ gave us. It means we stick to our morals and His Commandments. If people treat you all nice and good, it usually means you give in to some moral issue out of fear of just because, so you don't have to face it, or you want people to like you. The people in the Catholic Church have suffered more persecution and more insults than any other Church. Now thats a fact! Livin_the_MASS
I've really been reading "Search and Rescue" by Patrick Madrid latley and he told a story that he was on a flight and he was sitting next to women (who used to be Catholic he later finds out) who was openly talking to him about stuff. Well it started to get personal she talked about her two kids and what they did, well it was time for Patrick to share, so he pulls out his wallet and shows his nine kids to this women. All of a sudden she gets upset, "What would make you want to have nine kids?" He talked about how he was Catholic and he and his wife believed in being open to life. Now the lady is really hot "I can't stand the Catholic Church!" she says! She starts to talk the Pope down, just letting him have it. He speaks of his times like these that he went through and learned from the actions and replies of the people. Alot of people can't stand the Teachings of the Catholic Church. But the key is they just don't understand the Divine Mercy of God in the Confessional! So instead of the lady taken her sin to God she left the Catholic Church, then hate started to build up toward the Christ's One Church. Good insights, but only if they knew that their Heavenly Father waits for them to come back. If they knew the power of the Confessional. And we on our "Search and Rescues" should show the same gentle forgiveness as Our Savior Jesus. "Hate the sin love the sinner" Never back down from the Catholic Church's Teachings just observe each situation, and in this case handle it with gentleness and tell the soul of God's Divine Infinite Mercy. Then leave the rest up to God, pray, only God converts anyone! So what I am saying is alot of people have a problem with the Catholic Church's Moral Teachings. So they go to another Church that tells them that what they have done is OK or birth control is OK, when it is not at all. Again if they knew the power and grace of the Confessional. Good book God Bless Jason

Dave
It's always amazing to me that people would leave the Catholic Church just because they don't like its moral teachings on stuff like birth control. I mean, such people would join churches that condone whatever their sin of choice may be, but when you get right down to it, don't they know deep down it's wrong whether or not they actually admit it to themselves? Their guilt might be temporarily assuaged by joining another church, but I don't see how it could be that way permanently (unless however they're really good at lying to themselves and making themselves believe their own lies). voiciblanche
Yeah. People also like to say that the Church has too many rules. The early apostles hated rules, and Christ told the high priests that they were hyprocrites with all their rules, but the Church isn't like that. We don't have ridiculous rules, and we don't break them, so we're not being hypocritcal.
