dUSt Posted April 4, 2012 Share Posted April 4, 2012 After reading that the author, Suzanne Collins, may be Catholic, I have an urge to go back and re-read the books, making notes of all the Catholic symbolism (ie - Peeta = Petra = Peter, symbols of bread, fire, etc). [/quote] I posted this in the other thread, but I don't think there's much Catholic symbolism. Peeta is named so because it's a kind of bread and his family are bakers, not because it's close to Peter.
