Guest grasscutter
Hi, I'm new here and have mainly just been reading the posts. I notice that sometimes someone will say English Mass or Tridentine Mass. Does English Mass refer to Latin Mass, Ordinary Form? Thank you for any responses and I'm enjoying my time here! cappie
The Mass of Paul VI is the liturgy of the Catholic Mass of the Roman Rite promulgated by Pope Paul VI in 1969, after the Second Vatican Council (1962–1965). It is the present ordinary or normal form of the Roman Rite of the Mass. For other names that have been applied to this form of the Roman-Rite Mass, such as "Novus Ordo" and "Ordinary Form". Another form is the vernacular Mass meaning the Mass in the local language.
