When October Baby does come out, I will get it out of the library.

you should go and see it in theatres...the more people who buy tickets to see the movie in theatres shows movie companies that if they make GOOD movies, people will pay to see them!!

Shea and I went to see this movie yesterday. It was very poignant for us both.
What struck me the most was the power of forgiveness. As is the paradox of Jesus, forgiveness's strength is in its meekness. (At least in my opinion)

The power of forgiveness frees not only Hannah, but (in a way) her birth mom as well. As her birth mom slid down the door, crying; I couldn't help but feel her character tranform...to 'bring to the present' the gravity of what she had done, and the forgiveness from her daughter..both in that one moment.

It is no wonder Jesus calls us to forgive. Its power sets us all free.

My Mom and I went to see this movie at our parish yesterday, and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend it. I pretty much never cry for movies (not that I watch that many), but this one made me cry. It was an avvesome movie, though. I'm so glad we went to see it!
