Is It Insulting To Be Thought Of

I don't have a digital camera and I don't know enough about computers to scan my pictures so I'm not going to post my pic. But I am 23 years old and EVERYONE I meet thinks I'm in High school. If I tell people I'm 14, they believe me. If I mention I'm in college, they think I'm 17/18 (a freshman). When I tell people I'm 23, their eyes bulge out and their jaws drop -- even people YOUNGER than I am think I'm really young.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. Part of me is insulted b/c who wants to be thought of at 14 (no offense voici) when you're 23? 14 was bad enough the first time around. Part of me is kind of glad that I don't look like I'm in my 40's at 23. What do you think? Should I be insulted or is that just stupid?

CC, it happens to me, too, especially when i don't wear make up. most of the time i just shrug it off, and consider it a blessing and hope that i look this good when i am forty.

rarely though, it really torks me off.

This happens to me, too, especially when I don't wear make-up. People think I'm 18, though, not 14. I am 24. Don't let it bug you. I am complimented by it. :)

People usually think I'm older than I am. I like it now, but I probably won't in a few years.

Wait about 10 years. Enjoy it while you can. The worst part is when everyone gets carded but you. You will be looking back fondly when people used to mistake you for a younger person. :P

yea i dont think its bad.....just think of all the people who spend thousands of dollars on surgery and make up to look younger....and you dont even have to worry about it.....sure its kind of annoying now, but in the future everyone will be jealous hehe

I have the same problem except for the fact that I'm only 17 and people usually think I'm 12. They almost wouldn't let me in to see the Passion of the Christ because they didn't believe me until they seen my drivers liscence. Of course I look all of 12 since I am only about 5ft 2in and and really skinny.

it's funny that you bring the topic up, CC, because when my hubby shaves he looks about 16 again, even though he's almost 26.

It's good to look young. You may not like it now, but you will once you get older. Look at me, I'm 17 but I look a couple years younger.

Yup, I look young for my age too. In fact, the other day a salesman came to the door and asked if my parents were home (I will be 25 in August). Imagine his surprise when I told him I am the parent! Kinda made my day, though.

Haaa haaa haaa....

I'm almost 28, I get my hair foiled to COVER GREY HAIR, and FLATTERED when people think I'm 19 or 21.
