fides' Jack
I'm confused as to how it will help performance. The only topics that should be processed would be the ones shown on a specific page. If it's actually pulling a query for all topics, and then paging through them, that's pretty inefficient. We get around that at work by using Row_Number() (MS SQL)
IcePrincessKRS
There still isn't an option to view the full site from a mobile device if you've switched to the mobile version. I agree with everyone who said to archive threads that are a year to two years old with no responses. There are few older than dirt threads fun enough that deserve to be bumped. The board is forced to search through a huge "posts" table, thus causing the whole board to slow down. What archiving does is move those posts out of that huge post table and into a seperate storage place. So, it still searches the content, but makes it more efficient. arfink
I hate to be a killjoy, what with the perpetual celebration of Selah's Most Wonderful Perpetual Birthday, but the necrobumping does seem to bother the peons. Make it 1 year.

dUSt
Weird. My wife's Kindle always defaults to the full version...
dUSt
OK, to start out, I set the "Archive" to any post that does not have a reply within the past 2 years. This will archive about 82% of the posts in the phorum. Anything archived will have a "Archived" indicator before the title. Moderators may selectively un-archive topics, if needed, which will prevent those topics from ever being archived again.
IcePrincessKRS
It was defaulted to the full version but it wouldn't let me post, so I switched to the mobile version before the upgrade (which enabled posting). There was a language button but not a full version button. Now with the upgrade I don't see any buttons and still can't switch back to the full version. BG45
Other than the Phorum running more slowly than it used to, I don't notice any new changes bar one (listed below). I like the 1-2 year idea on archiving threads.
My profile now clearly states that I don't have any warning points - that seems new.
My profile has a warning (from 2010) for something that is no longer a Phatmass rule. Granted, I didn't even know I had ever been given a warning, so this is new to me. Winchester
No.
You use the word "upgrade" too loosely.
