Sspx A Month To Accept

@ Nihil Mabey ? I don't know. I just had some group add me to facebook and tell me I wasn't a christian. They also were talking about the new world order and stuff like that. And I realise they are catholic but my point was if its made official they are not in the near future then mabey some of their members will wake up and smell the faygo soda.

It is a possibility that some severe sanctions are put in place if April 15th doesn't bring an acceptable solution. Fr. Z speculated that the wording of that 'communique' was referring to formal schism, which as we know has not been the case thus far. If that's what happens, then that's what happens. But I certainly hope that an acceptable agreement is reached, one which allows the SSPX to be a force for renewal in a position of influence.

I cant believe I even know what the sspx is. I didn't even know what Vatican 2 was when I first came here. I've learned a lot because of phatmass that's for sure. And still have a lot more to learn.

If you've got some spare time, I highly recommend that you look up the SSJV, Society of St. Jean Marie Vianney. Absolutely fascinating, in the context of a "what-if" for the SSPX. What would have happened if they'd taken the offer of regularization in the 90s?
