PhuturePriest
Please do not read below if you have not read Courageous or have not seen the movie. Oh my goodness! I started reading the book on Wednesday, and I got back to it today. It's a really wonderful book, and I couldn't put it down,
and then I was shocked because his daughter died!
I did not see that coming! I need to give someone a hug...
Nihil Obstat
Is it worth watching? I was invited to a movie night hosted by the Orthodox Christian group playing that one. Wasn't sure if it was my kind of movie or not.
AnneLine
Just checked out the trailer... looks like it could be good. Hard to say for sure, but has some possibilities.... Certainly sounds like you found the book to be good, FP.... Edited March 17, 2012 by AnneLine

Lil Red
just keep in mind it is made by Protestants and that informs their thinking, not Catholicism.

fides' Jack
I don't think "hugging it out" happens when someone needs a hug, but when people are fighting, as a way to solve the fight. But I've never had a hugging out session, so I don't really know for sure.

It's especially a good time to hug a person that has a knife and is trying to stab you, so long as you disable their arm from moving as you hug them and wait until they pass out before letting go. Nihil Obstat
The last time I hugged a guy besides my dad was the day I got engaged, and I met my best friend on his way over to congratulate us. Before that, I honestly could not tell you.

I mean, nothing wrong with the message, but seemed a bit like preaching to the choir. Yes, I'm bragging on my husband and how well he interacts with the kids.
