Chiara Francesco
So, I saw this Photo and thought it was amesome!!! I Love Mother angelica and I love Cats!!!! What a coincidence!!!! I would love others to share picture of Religious with animals! It would make me so happy!
Not surprising. St. Clare of Assisi (as Mother Angelica is a Poor Clare herself - PCPA), loved cats and always had one in her monastery and she called her "Sister Gatta". Everytime the current cat died, she got another one and called the new one Sr. Gatta too.

Carmelshrimp
In that case I qualify as a spiritual neanderthal - and proud of it! You know what they say "So many kittens - so few receipes"
AnneLine
No nuns, but seriously, how can one EVER forget 'sloth' after seeing this! http://vimeo.com/11712103 I think this is how we ALL must look to God - no wonder He finds us so irresistable! AnneLine
Glad you liked it; I am out of legal props and the prop shop is fresh out. I am now forced to make bootleg ones! PROP! You might like this -- one of the Carmels near me had cats. Lots of cats. Eventually they took over the prioresses' cell! She finally gave up and assigned herself another cell! Probably that is TOO many cats for one carmel, yes CarmelShrimp?

PhuturePriest
Really? that is so razzle dazzle! I hope if when I become a Religious, my convent will have a dog or cat! I am such an animal lover! lol!
The Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word (The Friars at EWTN, such as Father Mark Mary from Life on the Rock) have a black lab named Michaelangelo. The Franciscan Brothers of Peace also have a black lab named Ruby. It is shocking just how many animals Religious have. My Priest friend in the Diocese has a lab. I'm pretty sure his is yellow, though. However, I am starting to see a pattern with labs.
