Guest
Also beatitude I can relate to what you said about losing faith and then coming back and it being even richer. That's what happened to me and its exactly how you desrcibed it.
Guest
If anything it was just like a " mind.........." He was the one person I would never expect to hear was an atheist now. It just raises so many questions. Was he faking it the whole time ? That's the thing I know he wasn't. The kid was sincere. That's why at the end of the day I really do feel bad for him. Because I know he has been attacked by satan. But ya it was just shock with me. It would be like if I came on here one day and realised Dust was an atheist now or Akalyte. I would be like whoa what the heck. How did that happen ? Edited March 16, 2012 by Guest
Annie12
So during this lent I have found myself talking to atheist or agnostics who remind me the Bible is nothing but a fairy tale. The most shocking conversation was with a guy I knew from school. This kid was on fire for God and always involved in church activities and what not. This was from 8th grade til as far as I can remeber. Even after school he was involved and always focused on God. He's a musician and used to play in the church. His name is Andrew Varner. He actually just got one of his songs played on a episode of the real world. It was called left overs and re-runs. Really razzle dazzle guy and a good person. Anyhow he tells me he's an atheist now. I was shocked. lol Not in a judgemental or condescending kind of way but just shocked in that he could of lost his faith completly after so many years of following God. Say a prayer for him if you want. I don't fear for his soul or any croutons like that because I know God is just and will not send someone to hell for only being an atheist. I do though fear he's been attacked by satan cause he was so loyal to God and followed Him all through his youth. Satan had to hate that.
Not trying to make you upset but in the messages of our lady of Fatima, our lady said that most of the people in hell didn't believe in God. I will pray for your friend because I know that he has just lost his way. God bless! Edited March 16, 2012 by Annie12

Although I think you have to be pretty awful to wind up there. I love a loving God. If people entertain the idea Hitler could be in heaven then I don't think its far fetched to think a decent person who lost their faith couldn't wind up there too. Thanks for the prayers. God Bless you. Edited March 16, 2012 by Guest

Annie12
Stories like these make me realize that it could be anyone of us that give into our human weakness. We have to never stop praying! When we stop praying that is when we are off guard and are most vulnerable to give in to the temptations of satan. Oh dear! How sad! The lord is my strength and my salvation! It also reminds me of when Jesus was tempted in the desert. So, we have nothing to fear as long as we keep God in our midst!
beatitude
Judas travelled in Jesus' company for about three years. He heard Jesus teach with his own ears, saw the miracles with his own eyes. He still lost faith. It really could be any one of us. I always pray for it never to happen to me, but if it ever it does, I trust that God will bear me through it. To think otherwise would be to lack faith already. elizabeth09
Boy, does that make you sick. If I saw any of those miracles, then I will believe.
