HopefulBride
So basically if I get 8.5 I won't need new ones till I"m about 70. I can deal with that.
HopefulBride
OK I spoke to my boss today and we will be seating down to discuss how I will take time off before I leave in August (see family etc.) We're both hoping they will let her advertise for my position while I'm still here so that I can at least train my replacement. Please pray that it all goes well. Also, I meet with the president of the Serra Club tomorrow.....
InPersonaChriste
For watches I know that the nuns i am discerning with seem to prefer digital. One of the postulants doesn't have a digital watch and it takes her longer because its a very strange non-digital watch.
HopefulBride
My sister got these fleece-lined tights/leggings and she is going to get me a couple so that I can have. They are black of course (can't find navy blue) but I figure with Navy blue socks over them I will be able to hide the fact that they are not black. Now I'm looking at socks and I've seen soooo many. I've seen cotton, wool, wool cotton blend, silk wool blend. Oh and of course there are liner socks. I'm not sure which one of these to select. The el cheapo conservative in my wants to select the cheapest but knowing that I won't be buying socks for at least 5 years (hopefully) I want something to last and I want to know I'm paying an extra couple of dollars for good lasting socks. Any ideas?
Divine Mercy 9999
I crochet and make slipper/socks myself but your pattern looks much better! Is it possible for you to send it to me via annierosha(at)gmail(dot)com ?
Sent you an email with the link. I have to download the pattern, so we'll see how it works out. I can usually tweak patterns if they don't , though.

I'm glad all of a sudden I had boring taste in watches even at 16.
This is the watch I wear all of the time: If they don't let me wear it... Make sure you distinguish between socks and trouser socks (trouser socks are more like tights or thick pantyhose), because most knee highs out there seem to be trouser socks. I actually hear American Apparel has good quality socks (weird store, don't mind the images). Doesn't crack, can go in water, and is pretty simple.

Those pictures are bizarre. I know they are advertising socks but I can't help but think that they are advertising pornography on the side. Almost everyone of those pictures is revealing. Lisa
I wish online shopping was like in-store shopping-- you can try things on and instantly exchange them for the next size up or down if they don't fit-- all without leaving your home.
