I have this friend that I love dearly. We've been best buds since college and even though we work in seperate cities we communicate by email, text, and try to meet up every once in a while to have fun. It's funny cause even though we come from completely different backgrounds we really enjoy a lot of the same things and have the same attitude towards many things in the world...the only thing though is that he doesn't really care for faith, God, or religion. Now he knows I'm religious and has never isolated, or disrespected me because of it, but it saddens me that he doesn't really care to know God. He won't talk about it with me. Puts it in the same vein as politics saying it will only bring a divide between us. I don't know. I thank God everyday for having him in this life...but I want him with me in the next. Are there any prayers specifically for this problem?

Lord Jesus, thank You for helping me place my faith in You as my Lord and Savior.

I thank you that You planted that seed of the word into my life and that it has blossomed into a relationship with You.

I pray for my friends today that you would help the seeds that have been planted in their life to sprout and grow into a place ready for harvest.

Grant me the eyes to see where they are in the process, the patience to wait on your timing, and the joy of watching their growth towards you. Amen.

The challenge for us is: to be patient, to trust the sovereignty of God,and to not rush the process

There is also the prayer for those who do not know Christ from the liturgy of Good Friday:
