What Should I Name My Puppy?

Well a guy who died on the titanic seriously had a dog named kitty and the dog stood bravely by his side to the end. :)

Patches, Spice, Callie, Lassie, or I like Bailey.

I am getting a border collie puppy, and I don't know what to name her.
She is black and white with tan points.
I'd like something short, or something that can be shortened...unique but not fancy (my other collie is a male named "Padre," and I like that name immensely, if that helps).

So, what should I name her?

What puppy names do you like?

Well, Saint Padre Pio has always been one of my favorite Saints, and since the first one is named Padre, you should name this one Pio.

I love Border Collies! I fell in love with them when I watched the movie "Babe." The female collie was named Fly. I always liked that because of how they run to round up livestock.

Kenzie
Finley
Marnie
Abby (I love this name)
Amy
Angie
Elsie
Lassie
Lucy (this is my dog's name) :)
Molly
Maggie (I think this is so cute)
Avery
Maddie
Lady
Nessie :hehe2:
Gemma (this is so pretty)

I think Pia sounds lovely!!
My cousin has a male border collie, his real name is Shepard but they call him Shep. I think it fits any border collie nicely.

When I was younger we had a boarder collie named Josie who saved us from a guy who killed our neighbors.

That's amazing.

A border collie?? Congratulations! They are the best dogs ever. :) I have a border collie named Mattie, and my sister's is named Meg, and we used to have a family dog (also a border collie) named Jip. You can use one of those if you want, lol.

We used all three of those dogs regularly to work cows. They are all very smart, but sometimes you will get a genius. Jip was the smartest dog I've ever met. No formal training, but you could almost just tell her what to do!

As for Meg and Mattie.. Mattie is really stubborn, and Meg is kind of an alpha-female who hogs all the food from Mattie and the other dogs, so she's really fat. =P

Border collies are the best!

I like Jip. I like Gypsy, too, and Gyp could be short for that.
I'm thinking either Gyp/Jip, Pia, or Amie...

My other bc, Padre, comes from cattle dog stock. But he is too laid back to herd cattle, and we don't have sheep, so his job is to keep the little kids away from snakes, keep the neighbor's horses out of our yard, and cuddle with us. I hope to train the new pup as a service dog, though.
