She was also really the first to receive Holy Communion because "Jesus entered her" so if you dig deeper you understand! Our Priest says that and I believe him. Adrestia
i almost didn't make it last night, but i persevered. whew. will try not to leave it until bedtime tonight.
I do the consecration readings and prayers when I wake up - I guess it's a benefit of not having kids. I try to do the rosary in the middle of the day, kind of a break from work & life stress, but I sometimes have to break it up. Once I left my rosary until bedtime (before it was a part of the consecration), never again (hopefully).
Lil Red
well, i usually do the consecration readings & prayers when I get up, but i almost never have time then to do my rosary. i usually end up forgetting until bedtime, to be honest. today though, i remembered when the kiddos went outside to play. let_go_let_God
I personally have a hard time saying a Rosary by myself. So I've invited my husband to join me as I pray it. God bless- LGLG
MissScripture
So, at the end, when we are supposed to go to confession, would it be okay for me to bring my son with me? We are going to try to go tomorrow, but if we don't then my husband will be at work whenever I could go again.
It didn't list it in daily prayers. I said one anyway, because I had already done it when I realized we didn't need to.
let_go_let_God
I looked at what you had posted in the prayer section and compared it to my phone app. The app omits the final short prayer that is included in the link and says "now pray a Rosary." God bless- LGLG
Lil Red
Consecration Day! This is great to read: http://newtheologicalmovement.blogspot.com/2012/03/making-total-consecration.html After completing the thirty-three days of preparation, we: 1) Go to confession (within a week or two, before or after) 2) Receive communion with devotion (asking Mary to live in our soul and to receive Jesus there) 3) Recite the act of consecration, which is copied below. (the act of consecration may be recited alone or in a group, at home or in a church, before a priest or privately)
[many will write out by hand the prayer of consecration, at least that portion which is in italics]
4) Make some tribute to Jesus and Mary: especially the giving of an alms, or some special sacrifice Practices for the rest of one’s life From this day forward, we: 1) Go to confession and communion regularly (confession every month or every other month) 2) Daily recite some portion of the Rosary (hopefully, at least five decades) 3) Wear the brown scapular 4) Renew the consecration each year, following the same days of preparation beforehand 5) Offer all that we are and have, including even the value of all our prayers and good works, wholly and entirely to Jesus through Mary
Lil Red
I had texted my priest friend, saying no church was having an Annunciation Mass ( ) and he texted me back that there will be one tonight for all those doing the consecration!
