The former student of St Clare's Catholic High in Hassal Grove was known among his friends as a little kid with a big heart and a feisty streak. But it was his involvement in a fight that turned into a brawl at Cockle Bay early on Sunday morning that allegedly resulted in him being pushed into the water where he drowned. Ehab Taleb, 22, a former security guard who had quit his job to go back to university and study civil engineering has been charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of Mr Daep.
